The ski area of Les deux Alpes, located on more than 400 hectares, boasts an almost perfectly smooth surface, which is provided by the operation of 211 snow cannons. A variety of trails for beginners and professionals are open here. The slopes of La Fee, Grande Couloir, Super Diable are ideal for experienced skiers and snowboarders. For fans of off-piste skiing and extreme athletes, there are many trails located in the neighboring resort of La Grave, which can be reached through the ridge of the Mont-de-Lan glacier. For beginners and children, a simple ski area located on the other side of the valley, on the western slopes of the Pied Moute mountain, is ideal. Here one of the trails is illuminated in the evenings twice a week.
Especially the resort will appeal to fans of off-piste skiing, because Les deux Alpes occupies a leading position in the ranking of the best places for freestyle skiing. There are also all conditions for snowboarders, as winter and summer snow parks are among the best in Europe. Another popular place is La Résidence – Les 2 Alpes Apartments, located in the heart of Les deux Alpes and just 200 meters from the ski slopes. The apartment has 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom and a living room with a sofa and a flat-screen TV. A more economical option is the Premiere Classe Grenoble Sud – Gieres Universite Hotel, located 10 minutes from the Alp’Exp Exhibition Center. The room price will be 33.3 € per night.
Restaurants and cafes
The resort has 62 restaurants, 30 bars, many cafes, fast food and pizzerias. Thanks to such a variety of places, every vacationer will be able to find an institution to his taste. One of the best restaurants is considered to be P’tit Polyte, located in the Chalet Mounier Hotel. The restaurant specializes in French cuisine, which is so expertly prepared and served by the chef. Here visitors will find high-class service, a cozy Alpine interior and a beautiful view. The restaurant was awarded a Michelin star, which indicates the high quality of the prepared dishes. Another popular place is the restaurant L’Igloo Gourmand, which serves delicious and spectacularly served fruit dishes. Especially famous here are such delicacies as carpaccio, shrimp and foie gras. Dinner at this place will cost about 50 €.
A budget option is the Home restaurant, which serves international cuisine. The average bill here will be about 20-25 €.
Attractions and entertainment
The resort is very popular among young people due to the active nightlife, which is just bubbling. There are many discos, nightclubs and bars that work almost until the morning. Here the fun will not pass anyone by, and professional DJs will delight all night with the best tracks.
In addition to the bustling nightlife, you can relax in the outdoor pools, spa and sauna located in the center of the resort. There is also a cinema, a concert hall, a bowling alley, a billiards club, and more than 200 shops and boutiques open their doors daily, which will delight with low prices and a wide selection of branded items.
